Second try with the space fights... I used and altered photos for the planet and the explosions, the rest is brush...

Tried to make the jungle-theme in colour... No references, so the colour of the pyramid really gave me a hard time... :-P

Second try with the "tree of souls" from avatar... I saw the movie again today, and just had to do something afterwards...

I'm not yet happy with it. This forest-at-night-thing is really taking all my skills with colours... I think I will really have to put some time and effort in it, speedy speedpaints won't work here...

But I'm proud to say that it is all done in one layer! :-)

My mind is still working on this mech-downtown-trapping-soldiers-scene... I figured it would be more threatening if the mech would look down on the soldiers, so I made this fast easy sketch to see how it works...

I think it is better like this...?

Small little mood-sketch.. I want to make a mech downtown trapping some soldiers in a building soon, I already made some sketches, and this is just to get a feeling for the scenery..

Maybe 50 min, anyway less then one hour...

And the work from yesterday evening and tonight... Two fifties-style mechs patrolling a river...

Took so long because I changed the background a few times... ;-)

And the second...

Mech hit by two missiles in the desert... It turned out to be more watercolor-like..

It's interesting, but I think I like it better when it's a bit harder... :-)
